People are entitled to their own opinions. We can't change how someone else views us. And we have to be ok with knowing everyone won't like us. That's life. However, we protect our hearts when we choose not to be offended about someone else's opinion concerning us.
I've been guilty of delivering and being mad after listening to what someone else said about me. Eventually I got to the point of saying "if they don't approach me about how they feel it's none of my business. Tell them to hit me up about it".
Whenever we fall short in this area it's important to remember the scripture below.
Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
